Issue: |
When sending a fax, message line status box shows..."unable to login". |
|
Reason:
|
This message directly relates to the User ID or Pin number being mis-typed within
the WinFax setup for Concord. |
|
Solution:
|
From the WinFax Message Manager go to Tolls/Program Setup/ Concord Services/ Internet
Fax/Properties. On the Account tab erase the User Id and Pin number from both fields.
Please keep in mind that you will need to type in the account information, do not
cut and paste the User ID and Pin number. Please re-type in the User Id and pin
number. Make sure to check that the User Id only has one letter which is the "c"
at the beginning, the rest of the ID is all numeric. Apply and OK then Close the
WinFax PRO program down completely. This includes the Controller Icon (yellow fax
machine) and the Concord Tray Icon (blue "C" with 2 yellow arrows over top) located
on your task bar in the lower right of your screen. If you are on a Laptop or Notebook,
please restart your computer at this time. |

Issue: |
When sending a fax, the faxes do not appear to send. All faxes are sitting in the
Outbox as "Internet Fax waiting to be sent". |
|
Reason:
|
Faxes that are sitting in your Outbox and do not appear to be sending (over a 30
minute period). It is possible that the fax/faxes have already uploaded to our server
and have been sent successfully. Faxes hanging in the Outbox can indicate that there
may be firewall or anti-virus software installed, or if you are using a router,
that may be obstructing the real time return information from our server to your
computer and WinFax program. When the information from our server is trying to send
the final status back to your computer, the firewall or router may not recognize
our server as a trusted site and will therefore refuse the information. |
|
Solution:
|
If you have firewall or anti-software installed on your computer you will need to
allow or register our server address directly in to the firewall program as a trusted
website. The server address to allow is: 216.187.65.170. Once this address is allowed
you will need to restart your computer. If you are using a router the first course
of action would be to reset the router by physically unplugging the router from
any power outlet and leaving it unplugged for at least 30 seconds, then restart
you computer. Some routers can contain firewall software within and the server address
216.187.65.170 may also need to be added into the router software. Please contact
your router or internet provider for more information regarding router/firewall
software.

Issue: |
When sending a fax, the fax number appears to be adding a +011 to the beginning
of the fax number as if sending an international fax. |
|
Reason:
|
The fax number may not be entered correctly in the three fax number fields provided
in the Send Screen of WinFax. |
|
Solution:
|
Keep in mind that the 3 fields for the fax number in the WinFax send screen are
as follows. First box is for the country code (1 in U.S. and Canada, 44 for the
UK.). Second box is for the area code an the third box is for the remaining seven
digit fax number. If this is an international fax you are attempting to send then
please enter the country code in the first box, skip the second box, and enter the
remaining digits of the fax number in the third ad last box. Please make sure you
dialing properties are setup correctly as well by going to your WinFax Message Manager.
Go to Tools/Program Setup/Dialing and Location. Select the Location Tab: make sure
the Location is set to default, the country should be United States 1, and click
Change to the right and enter 1 for Long Distance and 011 for International then
APPLY and OK. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. |
